Reviews

AudioFile Magazine...
Thriller master Dean Koontz returns with a horrific tale of a monster on the loose in a city overcome by a blizzard. Narrator Christopher Lane reads in a grave voice that brings the nightmare to life. Lane's slight changes in tone and accent are subtle yet effective; he's never over-the-top as many performers might be with such a foreboding story. Koontz's terse writing style is well realized in Lane's reading. The mounting tension for which Koontz is so highly regarded is allowed to unfold at a steady pace, making listeners bite their fingernails down to the quick as they await the climax. L.B.
